No.2 Sandcastles is a ground floor apartment in a modern block of seven holiday apartments on Sandbanks’ main Banks Road. It is accessed via a secure carpeted lobby. The apartment is equipped to a high standard. From the front door, a tile-effect laminate floored hallway passes two bedrooms and a family bathroom and leads to the lounge, dining area and separate kitchen with southerly aspect and access to the front of the building.
The carpeted double bedroom includes a large fitted double wardrobe, dressing table unit with drawers and mirror, free to view flat screen TV, matching bedside tables with lamps and a chest of drawers. There is a window facing the rear aspect, and a door to the en-suite. The en-suite features a shower cubicle, wash basin, WC, heated chrome towel rail and practical vinyl flooring.
Bedroom two is also carpeted, offering twin single beds with central beside table and lamp, wall shelving and a single wardrobe for storage, and a window to the side aspect.
The family bathroom off the hallway features white floor-to-ceiling ceramic tiled walls, a bath with shower mixer tap and shower over, WC, wash basin, mirror, electric shaver point and heated chrome towel rail, all on a practical vinyl floor.
The hallway finishes at the dining area, which is of an open plan design with the lounge. A square wooden dining table and four chairs are complemented by a low level storage unit.
The bright lounge area features a comfy sofa, two easy chairs, a central wooden coffee table, and a side table. To one corner is a flat screen TV and DVD player on a glass shelf unit, a further side table and standard lamp. From the lounge, double French doors lead directly to a small enclosed patio area with outside furniture provided, adjoining the front garden with its lawns and shrub planting.
From the dining area, a door leads to the practical kitchen. The kitchen is well appointed with facilities that include a 4-burner gas hob with extractor hood above, microwave oven, Hotpoint washer-dryer, Indesit slimline dishwasher, Proline electric oven, and a Hotpoint fridge with small freezer compartment. A gas boiler provides hot water and central heating.
Outside, the apartment has one private car parking space to the rear plus a large turning area, along with three visitor spaces for the block to the front, easily accessed through the French doors in the lounge. A small lawn with shrubs graces the front of the property. To the rear, an external shower is ideal for freshening up from the sandy beach while a power wash system provides the same convenience for mountain bikes or windsurfing gear. A beach hut themed lockable shed unit alongside the parking bay provides private storage for equipment and beach accessories. A communal barbecue/picnic area is provided for all of our guests to enjoy at the rear of the property.
Sandcastles is conveniently situated on Banks Road – part of the main route that loops around the Sandbanks peninsula via the Haven Hotel, Sandbanks Chain Ferry and Poole’s Royal Motor Yacht Club. The modern block is less than 200 metres from the shops, a bistro café, the renowned Rick Stein restaurant and the Sandbanks central beachfront area with its Blue Flag certified bathing, level beach access, visitor attractions and many holiday facilities. Less than a kilometre to the east along the curved inner harbour leads directly to the famed windsurfing and kite-surfing mecca and shallow waters of the Whitley Lake area of Poole Harbour. Less than 700 metres to the west is the Sandbanks Chain Ferry taking you across to Shell Bay, Studland and the Isle of Purbeck or a ferry to Brownsea Island.
Bed linen, hand and bath towels are provided. A welcome pack is offered to bookings of 7 nights and over. Free Wi-Fi. Use of beach trolley.
We would require a £200 non refundable deposit to secure a booking and the outstanding balance would be invoiced 8 weeks prior to the holiday. Any bookings made within 8 weeks of the holiday would require full payment at the time of booking. We would ask our guests to complete, sign and return a reservation form and and we always acknowledge payments received with a booking confirmation/receipt.
Please note that we will require a security/damage deposit of £200 which can be taken from a credit card 7 days before your arrival; Please note that this is not a transaction but a certain amount frozen on the card in-case of any damages. Once the property is checked by our housekeepers the monies are released for your use within 5 days after your departure. Other payment alternatives are available, please enquire.
We can allow one dog to stay at the premises at a surcharge of £30 per week - We ask that dogs are not left unsupervised at the property
