within easy walking distance to the golden award winning beaches of Sandbanks; this
delightful property also benefits from an enviably private location with
beautiful views over the Luscombe Valley Nature Reserve.
Just down the road, the World famous Sandbanks
Peninsula boasts Blue Flag beaches, marina, yacht clubs, as well as an array of
water sports facilities including sailing, kiteboarding, windsurfing, paddle
boarding and kayaking, all of which are within easy walking distance. For those less inclined to take to the sea,
the beautiful countryside of Dorset is close at hand, with excellent walking,
cycling and horse riding trails available along the dramatic Jurassic
coast. The Sandbanks chain ferry is only
a short drive away, and provides access to the unspoilt National Trust
preservation of Studland, the magnificent Isle of Purbeck walking trails,
historic Corfe Castle and the pretty little fishing town of Swanage. The 18-hole
Championship Parkstone Golf Club is approximately 1½ miles away, whilst the
vibrant town centre of Bournemouth and the historic harbour of Poole are both
approximately 3 miles away.
Sandbanks has a variety of bistros and cafes to
choose from and the affluent Canford Cliffs village is just a 15-minute walk
away, where you can find an array of amenities including restaurants, wine
bars, coffee shops, an artisan bakery and hair and beauty salons.
Woodside is an ideal destination
for Wedding parties, being within walking distance or a short drive of the
area’s most popular wedding venues including Harbour Heights, Compton Acres,
the Sandbanks Hotel and the Haven Hotel.
Occupying a peaceful position
within a woodland setting, the approach to the house is via a private drive
with the house set back from the drive behind electronic gates, offering
privacy and seclusion. Arranged over three levels, this spacious 6-bedroom home extends to
approximately 3300 sqft and comfortably sleeps 13 guests.
The downstairs accommodation
provides large, open living spaces that flow into one another providing guests
with plenty of space to spread out. The kitchen comes fully-equipped and features a
range cooker, American-style fridge freezer, dishwasher, and microwave. The property also benefits from a separate
utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, iron, ironing board and clothes
airer. With the kitchen flowing into a
large dining area seating 12, plus a breakfast bar seating another two, there
are glass double doors that open out onto a patio overlooking the back garden
and the beautifully peaceful Luscombe Valley Nature Reserve. The dining area then flows into the second
sitting room which has enough seating for five with a 32 inch flat screen TV. Accessed from the second sitting room is a lovely sun room
furnished with a wall of windows providing light and elevated views across
Luscombe Valley, as well as seating for another five people.
The ground floor also features a spacious living room
with enough seating for 14, a 42 inch flat screen TV with a BT TV service, DVD
player and a selection of DVDs, books and board games for guests to enjoy. Also on the ground floor is a private study
providing you with space to do any work if necessary and a good-size cloakroom.
On the first floor there is a master bedroom
suite with beautiful views over Luscombe Valley. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, 32
inch flatscreen TV with Freeview and ensuite bathroom with a bath and separate
shower. The second spacious bedroom
suite again features the beautiful views over Luscombe Valley, as well as a
king-size bed and ensuite shower room.
Also on the first floor is a double bedroom, again with views over
Luscombe Valley and a bunk bedroom with views over the front garden, with both bedrooms
being served by a family bathroom.
The second floor features a large
double and a spacious triple bedroom, offering three single beds; both bedrooms
have views over the front garden and on this floor there is a second family
bathroom with a shower and toilet.
Woodside has a beautiful woodland garden, which
extends to over half an acre. There are
two outdoor seating areas with stunning outlooks over Luscombe Valley, as well
as BBQ facilities for alfresco dining.
At the front of the house there is enough off-road parking to
accommodate up to four cars.
The property is available for week breaks during peak periods and short-stays
at other times, with a minimum stay of three nights. We welcome younger guests and can provide a
travel cot and highchair upon request. This property is strictly non-smoking
and we regret that we cannot accept pets, except in special circumstances, and
we cannot accept stag or hen parties.
Please note, construction of three new beautiful homes is taking place
next door, however, it is at an advanced stage and is neither noisy nor
obtrusive.
